The Trackman G-2000 was born out of
necessity as there were no track cleaning units for outdoor large-scale modelers on the market that would do a thorough job. >Although there was a track-cleaning engine on the market, it was priced slightly out of the range of most modelers. We went through four prototype designs, hours and hours of testing, and real life testing before we came up with a unit that met all our expectations. |

The Trackman is of ALL steel construction except for the adjusting wheels, the pad holding the plugs and the trucks.
The unit weighs just under four pounds. The weight is what helps the Trackman do its job -- and it does it well.
We supply metal wheels at no additional charge.
The unit is articulated so that the cleaning pad stays centered on the rails even through the sharpest curves. The pad block has clearance relief through the center so it can pass easily over any control magnets that are placed between the rails. The cleaning pad's pressure is adjustable for heavy cleaning or for just a dusting during a session. No liquid solvents are needed for the Trackman to do its job. The unit can be pushed or pulled over the layout and goes through turnouts with ease. The cleaning pads are called Bear-Tex. and is a woven fiber polishing pad that will not tear or fray in use. A set of our heavy duty cleaning pads is also provided with the unit for that really dirty oxidized track that has not been in use for an extended period of time. The unit comes painted in caution yellow. |
